Apparently it’s video week here on {re}made by hand. Rather ironic, considering I don’t even own a TV!
If you missed hearing about the new documentary from Thrive With Less on Monday, I can’t recommend strongly enough that you check it out. The hour you’ll spend watching it will be time well spent indeed.
Today I’d like to share a film in need of help. I first heard about it on Loving Simple Living, then read an interview with producer Adam Baker on Becoming Minimalist. It looks like a wonderful film about a topic we need to hear about right now. In the creators’ words:
I’m Fine, Thanks is a new, feature-length documentary about complacency. It’s a collection of stories about life, the choices we all make, and the paths we ultimately decide to follow.
We examine the factors that motivate and drive our major life choices. And, most importantly, whether or not the path we follow through life – and the habits we form based on that path – are truly connected with who we really are as individuals.
This is a movie about the moment people realize the life they’re living is not the life that’s true to their heart… and, as a result, what they decide to do about it!
I love that so many people are taking the time and expending the energy to really think about issues like complacency. That people are acting instead of smiling and perpetuating the “I’m fine, thanks” myth. And that this movement coincides with my own tentative steps out of my own complacency is an added bonus.
So without further ado, here’s the trailer:
What do you think? Is this a project worth supporting? If so, please head over to its Kickstarter page and back it in whatever way you can. The thing about Kickstarter is that if the project doesn’t meet its goal, then it doesn’t get the funding (and its backers aren’t charged). So, if it’s a message you believe in, your support is crucial. They even have some incentives waiting for you.
I should mention that I’m not gaining anything from promoting these documentaries. I just think they have great messages that need to be heard and that fit really nicely with that whole remakeable theme I’ve got going here.
Tell me: What’s been inspiring you lately?

Oh, another Becoming Minimalist fan! There's a lot out there but whenever someone mentions Joshua's blog my ears perk up. Maybe it's the circles I run in but "I'm Fine, Thanks" has been popping up everywhere lately. Adam Baker is a good guy and knows what he's doing so it's no surprise. So what's been inspiring me lately? My website rebranding and relaunch and the amazing people who are contributing to its success. Even when all you want to do is give, give, give to the world, you meet people who just want to give, give, give right back to you. Whenever I come across these people it's inspiring!
