Knit 3 Together Through the Back Loop (k3tog tbl)

The k3tog tbl, or knit 3 together through the back loop, is a twisted left-leaning double decrease. It takes three stitches and turns them into a single twisted stitch that slants toward the left. It is worked like a ktbl, just using three stitches instead of one.

To work it, insert your right-hand needle into the back of the first three stitches on the left-hand needle at the same time, starting with the first stitch on the left-hand needle, through the second, and finally through the third. Catch the working yarn with the tip of the right-hand needle (this can be a little tedious with so many stitches!) and draw this new stitch through all three of the stitches on the left-hand needle. Finally, slide those three stitches off the needle.
