Meet the Chevronelle Wrap:

Mosaic AND lace AND chevrons? Oh, yes, please.

Featuring bands of stand-out mosaic that melt seamlessly into simple lace, Chevronelle is varied enough to hold your interest while still being easier to knit than it looks. The mosaic sections double as transitions between colors, so you can show off a handful of your favorites instead of being stuck with a single main color. Yarn tip: This pattern can handle specked or variegated skeins alongside solids or tonals. Just make sure yarns that share a mosaic section don’t include similar colors, even in small bits, or the motif will get lost.

The bias construction sets the bands of color and lace on an angle, lending drama and drape to the finished piece. And thanks to Chevronelle’s panel setup, you can easily create a shorter wrap if desired (and the pattern tells you how).

Lace and mosaic are both written and charted, and Chevronelle has been tech edited and test knit, so you can cast on with confidence.

YARN 
The four-color version (like the sample) has the following yardage requirements:

— C1 and C3 (teal and gold in sample): approximately 407 yd / 372 m of fingering weight yarn each 
— C2 and C4 (cream and variegated in sample): approximately 287 yd / 263 m of fingering weight yarn each

The six-color version (using different colors for the two ends instead of repeating C1 and C3) has the following yardage requirements:

— C1, C2, C3, and C4: approximately 287 yd / 263 m of fingering weight yarn each 
— Ends: approximately 139 yd / 127 m of fingering weight yarn each

All totals include a 15% buffer, and pattern includes a link to a free planning worksheet with a detailed schematic and yardage requirements.

Shown in Blue Skin Yarns Rosamunde (80% Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon; 435 yd / 398 m per 100 g / 3.53 oz skein) in Great Seas (C1), Monsea (C2), Raffin (C3), and Leinid (C4).

NOTIONS 
Tapestry needle

GAUGE 
20.5 stitches and 30.5 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch after firm blocking. Gauge is not crucial but will affect yardage used and final dimensions.
